I have purchased a few waste gate springs. They are in the mail, but in the mean time I am prepping my wastegate for surgery.
Okay, there is a small raised portion of the lip, that's where its easiest to stat prying with the screwdriver. Getting started is tough, after you get the lip up, it's a breeze. I tried to go slow.

After you get half of the edge raised, some vice grips can get it flattened fairly easily, then make sure there is enough clearance for it to slide a bit.

A quick knock with a hammer.

The 8mm screw is on there tight!

When my spring arrives in the mail, I will re assemble.

I accidentally pulled it inside out. No harm done, it went back fine.
Yes sir! (So to speak) It's the stock waste gate, with the new spring I ordered. It's actually a smaller spring, but a stronger one. (harder to compress)

I have another spring, and I can mod another waste gate, but first I have some digging to do. I want to find the spring for a cheaper price.

I hit 27psi yesterday. I am going to lower the spike, and retune my AFR's. I don't think I wanna go past a 25 spike.

Chuckle there's nothing like a test drive after a modification, especially when the results are noticeable
