Nice looks beefy. I have a friend that sell fiberglass fenders and front bumper so you can run wider rims and tires in the front.

Thanks but those are wide enough. They are 8.5 and I won't have any problem getting traction with there. The fenders don't require any modification, as I am on stock struts and springs.

The slicks are 8.5 inches wide. (The Hankook tires on my stock rims are 225/45's)

The slicks aren't a good thing for high speed. Depending on the roll I'll use different tires. Rolls, I'd use street tires, but digs I'd use slicks.

I'll run 16psi probably for the first test. I might go to 14 or even 12 at the track.

That sounds a bit high for wat u runnin. 12 n lower sound a bit better. I use to run bout 10 psi on my slicks when i use to run.

Only testing will tell. Some guys I talked to run as low as 8psi in the tires. I have never been on slicks before. I am trying to go to the Phoenix drag strip, but I need a Snell Helmet.

one vote for mexicali Track!!!

I think is the closest track ... 1/8 should be enought to test how slicks launch.

Question, Do you need E85 pump close to refuel your tank?

The nearest E85 station is Salton City, but they started selling regular gasoline and labeling it E85. A normal person with a Flex Fuel vehicle would never have known the difference, but it would have blown my engine to pieces if I had not tested it.

The next closest place is Pearson Fuels on El Cajon Blvd in San Diego.

I normally run 91, but I grab some E85 when I am in SD.

The 1/8th mile track is of no use to me. Its way too short, does not highlight a car's performance WHATSOEVER and if I am going to risk breaking something for a drag race, it better be a good reason.

I will be going to the 1/4 mile track in Phoenix as soon as I can. In the next few months.

An 8th mile track is fine for practicing launches but it doesn't compare a cars potential at all. You can not accuretly compare a cars 1/8th mile ET and speed to another. I couldn't even run full boost in the 1/8th mile because I wouldn't get any traction. I would be wasting the life on my slicks playing around, and slicks are expensive.

2 cents to me go to 1/4 to see your car working at full performance. So I guess Qualcomm in San Diego should be the same case (1/8).

I really want to have E85 in El Centro. I really like to dual map my car with E85 and 91. I hope to see videos because I prefare cruise for auto cross than drag racing.

Yeah, Quallcom is the same case IMO.

I plan to go to the 1/4 in October. I might have to change the date to the 20th. I'll definetly get some videos. My friend there has a similar turbo and is also on E85. We're gonna battle it out.

100Lb Injector Tune from Miller Performance
This past weekend Dan Miller paid the boys at AR design in Colorado a visit. On the agenda was to finally finish our 100lb/hr injector tune for the stock ECU. These injectors behave a little differently to say the least but with Dan’s expertise and finishing the development on location things all worked out perfect! Once the recalibration and final massaging was taken care of these great injectors operate phenomenally! You wouldn’t be able to tell the difference between these and 60’s!

We were able to iron out a 100Lb injector pump gas and e85 tune while there. Andrew’s little e30 that could was the candidate with its stock rods, pistons and compression to boot. On e85 we ran 25psi and the results were great! It put down 618 WHP and 564 WTQ on TOBZ’s ultra conservative Mustang dyno which would be over 700 WHP on a dyno jet and a trip will be made to the local ‘jet for verification.

It’s common knowledge any time you are making north of 650 on the stock rods you are playing with fire. Well, on the freeway doing a 4th gear burnout and pull, a rod decided to puss out. Now Andrew finally found his “reason” for forged internals.

The rod is bent, but there was no piston damage other than the crank scraping it. The stock gasket was unmolested and it literally just made too much power for the rod.

Andrews Car:
S50 head and Cams with M52 bottom end
Stock Compression Goetze HG
ARP Head Studs
Stock rods with ARP bolts
Miller Blow Though Tuning package
AR Design Divided T4 Manifold
Borg Warner S362 Turbo w/bullseye Bat-mo-wheel
AR Design 3.5" turbo-back exhaust
AR Design dump tube kit
AR Design air/water intercooler
AR Design crankcase ventilation system
AR Design driveshaft
PPM axles (about to let go LOL)
It is exciting to be the first to offer a proper 100lb tune to the community and you can get the package exclusively through AR Design!

This monster tuning package is for real men and includes:
1 x Miller Blow through MAF
1 x Aluminum MAF flange (Stainless available at extra $)
1 x Miller WAR Chip with all accessories
6 x 100Lb BOSCH EV14 injectors
Miller 100lb base tune for pump and e85
Miller Remote tuning support
