Okay, so it's been a while since I wow'd my wife with my cooking skills, and since its my first day off on over a month, I chose to rise to the occasion and thank her for putting up with my shit :ninja:

I make 6 steak sandwiches. 3 for me, and 3 for her, her's are smaller because she is growing a baby in her tummy, and has less room.

Sammich 1: The juice of one fresh squeezed orange, and some zest. Simmer it down to a thick glaze with some salt and add a tiny bit of cabbage to soak it up, mix some smoked fontina cheese, and a pinch of cinnamon. I used some Sicilian Lemon Vinegar from SLC. This is a citrus twist to a hearty steak sandwich and hits you in the face with a delicious taste. I was inspired by a Cranberry turkey sandwich.

Sammich 2: One strip of bacon, chopped into small pieces, red onion, one large clove of garlic, and some fresh jalapeno. Prepare to shit your pants, because this may be the best tasting addition to steak you can handle :readclose

Sammich 3: Fresh jalapeno, red onion, smoked fontina, smoked paprika, sharp cheddar, Horseradish cheese, 1 dab of wasabi, and a large dab of brown mustard with whole seed. If you are an athiest, you have some soul searching to do, because this will make you believe in god :eveilgrin

Cut up some steak, slow cook it on the stove to keep it moist, and stir it a bit to keep each piece in the liquid.

Turn your oven to broiler, and throw the cheese bread in the lower part, so it can toast on the top.

I like cabbage, but you can use lettuce, or even green bell pepper if you like.

Small portions for the wife:

Prepare to take a nap as well. I am about to.
